No. If you find yourself with a bonnet that doesn’t fit, kindly pass it along to a friend or save it until your child or a sibling grows into it.
-
No. Please hand wash in cold water and line dry.
The Bonnet will continue to find it’s form over time and wear into your child’s head shape.
And honestly? We like ours with a worn in, well used look. That’s the whole point right?

This batch was back with deadstock linen. There is no more of this particular fabric to be had, but I do plan to make another round for winter in a different outer shell and possibly a cotton/hemp/wool blend inner for warmth.

I’m not one for posting my children online. That’s actually the other half of why Wind Bug came to be. Living in a coastal town I love the convenience of a bonnet—the ear protection when the wind picks up in the afternoon, the sun and brightness protection when the coastal fog drifts away or doesn’t, the hard to take whip off-edness of the whole thing. But the other half of The Bonnet in our family is protecting our children’s privacy. It helps shield the face in a way that my children are not so recognizable in the background of other’s photos at the beach, at the park, or at an outdoor event. It provides them a layer of privacy in a world where our physical and digital realms are always converging.
